[Q] Advantage of swimming with fin by JayNam\(Σ
Hi, I'm a fitness swimmer who does for 50 minutes every morning. The coach gets us to swim with fins once a week but he hasn't told us what it brings us. For my part, working out without fins is lot better than with fins( i.e feel as if doing without fins burns more calories. ). Thanks Jay

[OT]Swimming in cold water/reason:blocked by lafn.org by Gosia
I was recognized as a spammer. I'm sorry -this is the only way of answering which I know. So why didn't you wear a cap or even two caps? Also, why didn't you wear ear plugs to keep that cold water out of your ears? Some folks put petroleum jelly on their neck to insulate the carotid...

Zoomers trials by Pat in TX
I had some red Zoomers in a size F and they were--let's just say "difficult"--to use. I had to struggle to even get them on. Standing in the pool, struggling and yanking; well, it did warm me up! Someone here suggested I should have bought blue ones in size G, so I ordered them and received them 2...

Zoomers or Tyr FlexFins by KOS
Hi, I am looking to buy a pair of fins. I am an intermediate level swimmer- swim about 3x a week. I noticed that when I swim I do not kick as much as I should- my kicking is not strong- would say on the weak side. Looking for a pair of fins that would be good - my pool sells Tyr Flex Fins- or...

Zoomers by Pat
I went out and bought some Zoomers yesterday and then swam 10 laps with them (one lap is a total of 50 meters). Two laps were with the kick board and 8 were in the crawl stroke. Today, I went out for a bike ride and absolutely had no power to climb hills. I sure hope this is related to the...

Youth swim lessons in Denver, Colorado by [email protected]
Hi all, My 11 year old son cannot swim and is looking at being taught in middle school if he can't get it going during summer vacation. He is embarrassed at not knowing how to swim at eleven years of age, and, I suspect, fearful of the water. Does anyone here know of swimming lessons in Denver...

You are what you eat by Duncan Heenan
Really keen coaches (i.e. control freaks) , as well as trying to make you swim faster than is natural, often try to control every other aspect of your life as well. Chief among their lifestyle obsessions is diet. I was brought up in an age when diet meant trying to loose weight, but nowadays...
