Running in 90 Degrees by Ironic
Any tips on running in 90+ degree weather? There is a Half-Iron in Macon Georgia June 13, and the temps are expected to be over 90. The swim and bike are survivable, but the run is going to be a hard effort. Greg

Caffeine by Ironic
My training partner and I have noticed more of an immediate boost from GU than Hammergel, most noticeably when running. GU, it appears from the label, has caffeine, while Hammergel does not (I suspect it is left out of Hammergel because it can have a tendency to cause dehydration?) Anyway, my...

Recording workout metrics by Jay D.
As I sat there looking at a multicolor graph of my run mileage vs. months by year, it occurred to me that I'm having an awful lot of fun recording and crunching the metrics I record during my workouts. I was wondering what metrics people record when they train. When you analyze your workout...

cycling training routes lake cowichan by the dork knight
I am moving to the lake cowichan bc area and I am wondering if there are any really good routes for training runs. I have seen the #18 and there are a lot of logging trucks there and I would rather not be blown off of the road by one of these. thanks

What did the Lawsuit 4 have to gain? by JJ Waguespack
What did the Lawsuit 4 have to gain? One of the troubling questions that the election lawsuit has brought up is what did the 4 complaintants have to gain. One of the 4, Jack Weiss, won his election so although he probably figures he'll win again he still runs the risk of a backlash vote if his...

windsor tri this sunday by kev d
Hi if anyone is competing at Windsor this Sunday in the full distance race and is interested in the km splits I've tried to work out roughly where they should be courtesy of map 24 http://www.de.map24.com/ (last year they weren't indicated on the course - I guess it would have been too difficult...

First duathlon this weekend! by [email protected]
5km/20km/5km 23:00 min/36:00 min/22:55 I spent over two minutes in transition because I couldn't get my shoes tied for the last run, my hands were fumbling all over. I know about those elastic laces but remember I only did this on a few days notice. I just can't believe that my last leg was a...

Ouzo pro...? by Steve
Hi folks, I;ve just got my stuff transferred over to NZ from the UK, and have found that our delightful moving company have managed to snap the forks on my Softride ( sorry Craig! ). Given that it's a 1 inch steerer, and a 650c wheelset, is there a better replacement than the Reynolds Ouzo Pro...

Hello, I'm a little confused over what age to list when participating in a series of races. According to USAT you are to race in the age group you are the day of the race. But, when I signed up for a race series (7 races, the last one in September), the series rules said to sign up at the age you...

T1 question by PMcDC
I bought some tri shorts, but I'm not sure whether to wear my skin-tight tri jersey for the swim or not yes, for two reasons. first, if it's skin tight, you'll be just fine/it won't drag. but just for insurance, put sportslick or vaseline on your upper arms where they'll rub against your...

Jetski Wetsuit better than no wetsuit? by Happy Marmot
This weekend I will be doing a tri featuring a 60 degree lake. The swim is only 1/4 mile, but this is my first official tri and I am not yet as strong of a swimmer as I would like to be. Am I better off using a wetsuit meant for jetskiing/surfing than no wetsuit at all? I have no trouble...
