How to acquire a "rugged look"? by

Some men look "rugged". Some others look like they are big babies. I

Obviously, the man needs to be in shape to look rugged, but therei s
something beyond that that I am having difficulty...

My apologies by
Robert Schuh
I have no idea why I let myself get sucked into this horse **** with fat
ass Dennis Dennison. THE bottom line is that Dennis thinks he is a
drummer yet he has ZERO gigs. This will be the last you see me comment
about this loser again. I actually have a life. I think the fact that
everyone has seen...

OT- Pregnancy after 40 by
Ben D
I've been doing some research on this and I was just curious what the
health experts here think about the risks of a woman in good health
getting pregnant after 40. At what point are the risks so great it's not
a good idea?
Figure she's about 10-15 years from menopause given her family history
and...

Sleep by
Pierre Honeyman
I'm a ****ty sleeper and I always have been. I tend towards getting
4-5 hours/night during the week, and 10 or so on one weekend day. My
problems a
- getting to sleep;
- staying asleep.
Every now and then I get near total insomnia for a week or so.
Since I'm obviously too cheap/lazy to go to...

Where will Bush rank? He's only fifth worst by
Wayne
By Michael Lind
The Washington Post
Sunday, December 24, 2006
It's unfair to claim that George W. Bush is the worst president of all
time. He's merely the fifth worst, behind four other Oval Officers
whose policies were even more disastrous: James Buchanan, Andrew
Johnson, Richard M. Nixon and...

2 months in the gym - NO changes by
Debra Co
So, somebody tell me what the hell is going on? I'm starting to feel like it's
going to be a colossal waste of time, and I'll be here posting a year from now
about how I can now squat two plates, run for 3 hours straight, and STILL weigh
160 and wear a size 12!
Actually there has been change in...

Are Women Different? by
Bruce
My wife has been working out with me for 6 months. In some exercises, she
has made steady progress, meaning strength gains. In others, she is
basically doing the same weight or only a bit more than she did when we
started. I try to push her harder, to encourage her to add more resistance
but she...

Bill wins by
Larry Hodges
Obviously, I've not been on much lately. Just can't take Bill I guess. I
wish he were local so I could "visit" him in person. So for now, I'm out.
I'll check back later maybe.
Anyway, take care. It's been nice hanging out with everybody here. We've
had some great times.

Self-delusion as a coping tool by

DRS, you keep quoting me in your sig file and it's really kind of funny
because I am quite sure you don't actually admire my wisdom and seek to
share it. I think you need to either figure out what I mean by that or
explain to me why you think it's so ridiculous.
When I was very fat with sore...

Getting stuck when squatting by
Per Elmsäter
So I just now started squatting without any crutches. What I noticed
immediately was how much more I have to support myself. Ie my hips moving
from side to side when starting to go up etc.
What I'm wondering about primarily though is why I seem to get stuck on the
way up after I've passed...

Nerd vs Muscle Discussion by
Lee Michaels
I got into a discussion about the limits and extremes of human intelligence
and athlethic ability or strength. The general argument goes something like
this.
Whatever super nerds exists out there, they generally have bodies to match.
They are not strong or athletic. And this is somehow a result...

HST simplified...please by

I have surfed around looking at HST and it sounds like good stuff but I

I am not one for real complicated routines and cycles. If that is what it
is maybe it just isn't for me. I'm not a complete dumbass or anything but
maybe a little lazy when...

Trying But Not Getting It... by

Hi all,
I'm new to the group. I have a lot of pretty good weight lifting books and
they help with some pretty good excercises but they don't really break it
down for particular body types.
I'm a big guy to start and have been doing light to med. weight with many
reps lifting for about 5 months. My...
