Upright row mechanics by Tom Anderson
Right, Upright rows, yeah? I've noticed that an upright row, if you do it with the maximum possible range of motion (which you shouldn't), seems to fall into two phases. The first phase is from the bottom to maybe two thirds of the way up, and involves your shoulders staying fixed in space, but...

Suspended Split - Photos by Steve Freides
A parlor trick, I'm sure some of you will say, but trust me, it involves strength besides the obvious flexibility. http://www.kbnj.com/SuspendedSplits.htm This is just a page of links to the actual photos - I put 4 pictures up there. Enjoy!

Excess Abdominal Fat is Not Only Ugly, but Extremely Dangerous toYour Health - This is More Than a Vanity Issue! by Helping Hands
Did you know that the vast majority of people in this day and age have excess abdominal fat? The first thing that most people think of is that their extra abdominal fat is simply ugly, is covering up their abs from being visible, and makes them self conscious about showing off their body. However,...

Senior Day by Earthlink.net
Senior Day @ The Gym, The gang was all there and the music blared and the iron flew. Roomy did a great lip sync with "Oh My Pa Pa" while doing flies, William danced with "Don't be Cruel" and the Coach sang Mack the Knife. I feel real good about my workout to, it was back...

Bad Back Blues by Prisoner at War
Due to my bad back, my squat sessions are abandoned before my legs are truly toasted. I can go for another five or so reps, for another three or so sets, but it's on account of my quickly-weakening lumbar that I am forced to stop well before total muscle failure in the legs. Same thing with the...

Stromata deadlift thread by Christianiron.com
Stromata, You only compete with yourself, and if that's the weight you are comfortable with, thats OK. I think what some others were saying was that this is an exercise involving the strongest parts of the body, our legs and back, as opposed to a curl which basically isolates the biceps....

"jones" can't make up its mind (such a tiny thing; shouldn't be hardto make up) by Rudy Canoza[_3_]
I said of "vegans" that after they're pushed off their false claim to be "minimizing" harm to animals, they fall back to a weaker claim of "doing the best I can." To that, "jones" said: That's exactly what we all do --- the best we can. http://tinyurl.com/yv8a9c Then I elaborated on...

Vegan diet by [email protected]
I find your discussion about vegan, vegetarian, and all, rather interesting. In fact it intrigues me that some of you find it hard to switch to vegan diet. I am not saying that there is any particular diet to follow. I am not against any of them, but if you want to know what I am thinking...take...

police by [email protected]
For years police have done crimes. Police were taped using a tape recorder. Only audio. If a lot of people look at the video the truth might be exposed. I would like people to look at the video many times to increase the number. Start the video. Go eat food. Watch tv. The greatest sin is to...
