Default Llanthony

Does anyone know Llanthony Priory? Is it a suitable base for exploring
the black mountains for a day (i.e. is there parking there, are the
roads to get there OK, is it signed from a main road, are there
footpaths leading from it)?

You may not get beyond the bar .... :-D

I would advise getting up high onto the ridge quickly and staying
there. The local farmland is not the easiest to traverse and there's
a history in the valley of resistance to access. The hills, however,
are lovely easy walking with great views and worth investing your
time in.
