I've read that obesity and adult-onset diabetes is at an all-time high among
our children. The problem is that they simply don't go out and play like
they used to. Way too much time is spent in front of the TV or on video
games, and way to little time is spent on outdoor activities.

Poor parenting is a problem, to be sure, but it's a problem in many areas of
child development other than just fitness. We actually have to train teens
to say "Thank you" when training for jobs dealing with the public. But
that's another topic ;o)
