Yes, loads of them, plus a few English ones too. There are also a few
Welsh mountains in England, Mynydd Merddin for example.

But claiming that Mynydd Merddin is Welsh is a greater troll....

Means nothing in that part of the world.. There used to be a lot of
Welsh speakers in Southern Herefordshire, but they were staunchly
English... Things are not as tidy as you might expect...

NNTP-Posting-Host: 194.35.194.52 gives UHI Millennium Institute.

However, that covers a ragbag of different colleges spread over a wide
area of the Highlands and Islands, and I can't see any way to work out
which one is really responsible. See
http://www.uhi.ac.uk/

Previously we've tried complaining to the big cheese at head office,
Prof. Robert Cormack (http://www.uhi.ac.uk/contacts/robertcormack.shtml).
This evidently ****ed the individual college off mightily when it got
bounced down to them, and even then it went to a techie in the IT
department who probably didn't have much influence over the teaching
methods of the course (the real problem).

Another possibility might be the complaints procedure at
http://www.uhi.ac.uk/ceandsec/policies/policy_XIV.htm . However, this
says that complaints should first be raised informally with the local
people involved. That's quite reasonable in principle, but difficult
when you can't find out who the local people are.

Just over the border. Politically there may be a sharp dividing line
between England and Wales, but in reality the border is a wide grey area
where English and Welsh get mixed up.

Take a look for yourself, notice the mixture of Welsh and English names.

This is just east of the Black Mountains by the way. You can see the
England/Wales (BB Nat Park) border in the south-east corner of the map.
