Default %BF using calipers?

What is the proper protocol for using calipers to measure
percentage body fat?

I know that for BIA and NIR, they recommend that you do not
exercise before measurement.

I was surprised to read that same requirement in instructions
for how to prepare for a measurement using calipers.

How can exercise ("working out") adversely affect caliper
measurements?

Also, how many sites should be measured with calipers to get
"reasonable accuracy", and where are they?

Based on reading long ago, I believe there is some disagreement.
What is the accuracy of 3 sites, 5 sites, etc?
