Default How to improve swimming time?

Recently 16 year old son joined a school swimming team. He have
practice 5-6 times a week, but he is very unhappy with his 50 yard
free style time - 29.2 sec and he wants to improve it. Can you
recommend any exercize/books/video so it will help him?

You and he should ask his coach for advice, not an Internet newsgroup,
IMHO. We are all as strong as our weakest link - if his coach can help
him identify that and work on it, great, but if your 16 year old son
only recently joined a high school swim team, perhaps he should just let
nature runs its course and see if 5-6 practices a week and the coaching
he gets during those practices is enough to find him slowly improving.
